- Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing or Associate of Science in Nursing
Description
- Shift: Days, 4×10s, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM; 40 hours/week. Holiday rotation required.
- EMR: Epic; experience within the past 3 years required.
- Floating: Required across Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Iowa Lutheran, and Iowa Methodist campuses.
- Experience: Minimum 24 months of current OR experience. No first-time travelers; must have completed a travel assignment within the past 15 months.
- Weekend/Call Requirement: Weekend call coverage may run Friday after shift through Monday at 6:30 AM. Up to 1 overnight call per week and 3 weekends per 13-week assignment.
- Required Certification/Licensure: BLS (AHA or ARC); active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license.
- Unit Description: 16 OR suites at a Level I trauma center, typically running 12–14 rooms. Must have circulating experience; scrubbing preferred. Cases include general surgery, Da Vinci robotics, pediatrics, and trauma. Additional specialties include neuro, ortho trauma, vascular, GYN, urology, and transplants.
- Radius Rule: No locals; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility, verified by driver’s license.
