Women & Infant Float Pool RN – Travel Contract

📍 Facility: Ohio State University hospital system — exact location to be confirmed
🏥 Unit: Level IV Maternity Center
🕐 Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
📅 Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts
💰 Local Candidates: Accepted at the same rate

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Must be willing to float between:
  • Labor & Delivery (L&D)
  • Maternal Special Care
  • Postpartum

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
• BLS
• NRP

Preferred Certifications:

• AWHONN Advanced
• EFM/CEFM

Key Clinical Skills

• Labor and delivery care, including vaginal delivery and C-section support.
• High-risk antepartum and maternal special care.
• Fetal monitoring and non-stress tests (NSTs).
• Postpartum assessments, including fundus, lochia, perineum, and incision care.
• Newborn assessments, couplet care, and infant identification.
• Postpartum hemorrhage management.
• Magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, insulin drips, and antihypertensive medications.
• Breastfeeding education, breast milk collection, and storage.
• IV starts, Foley catheter insertion, blood product administration, and pain management.

Scheduling & Call

• Night shift, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM.
• Weekend coverage required.
• Call is required; frequency is not specified.
• RTO must be submitted with the application and included in the contract.
