1. Shift & Schedule

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Med-Surg/Telemetry
• Facility: Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center
• Unit: 2 South
• Shift: Day shift
• Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (E/O weekend)
• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in the specialty

2. Unit Details

• Unit Capacity: 21 beds
• Patient Population: Adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Common Diagnoses:
  • Heart failure (CHF)
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Other medical-surgical conditions requiring cardiac monitoring

3. License & Certifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS: Required.
• ACLS: Required.

4. Clinical Skills & Responsibilities

The nurse should be experienced in:

• Medical-surgical nursing care
• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring
• Monitoring vital signs and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Caring for patients with heart failure and COPD
• Medication administration
• Assessing and documenting patient progress
• Responding to clinical deterioration and emergencies
• Coordinating care with physicians and other healthcare professionals

5. Travel & Location Requirements

• Local Candidates: Not accepted.
• Distance Requirement: Candidate must live at least 50 miles from the facility.
• Proof of Residence: A verifiable permanent address is required.
• Candidates must meet the facility's travel eligibility requirements.
