REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Position: PACU / Recovery Room RN.
• Prior PACU or post-anesthesia recovery experience required; minimum years are not specified.
• Must be competent in:
  • Immediate post-anesthesia patient assessment and monitoring.
  • Postoperative and post-procedural nursing care.
  • Pain management.
  • Evaluating patient responses to treatment and interventions.
  • Anticipating procedure-specific recovery needs.
  • Following AORN/ASPAN aseptic and sterile technique standards.
• Pre-Op experience preferred, as the traveler may assist in both departments.
• Cerner Compass experience preferred; not explicitly listed as mandatory.

SCHEDULE

• Shift: Days, 7:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Working days: Monday–Friday.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

• BLS – Required.
• ACLS – Required.
• PALS – Required.
• ASPAN certification preferred but not mandatory.

LICENSE

• Active Texas RN license or valid multistate/compact RN license required.
