Description
Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT)
Location: Brownwood, TX 76801
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM–6:00 AM); every other weekend
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience
- Facility requires 2 years of service-line experience for submission
- Must have experience working with neonates
- Will provide care to all age groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
- RRT or CRT accepted
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, CRT/RRT
- Sunrise charting experience required
- Community hospital experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred
- License in hand required at submission
- Certification verification required
Description:
- Provide respiratory care to patients across all age groups, including neonates
- Provide care in Adult Critical Care, Emergency Department, NICU, and Pediatric Critical Care settings
- Perform airway management, intubation assistance, extubation, suctioning, and tracheostomy care
- Manage ventilators, including BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and mechanical ventilation
- Perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
- Administer respiratory medications and aerosol treatments
- Provide oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and pulmonary hygiene
- Assist with high-risk deliveries and neonatal/pediatric respiratory procedures
- Manage patients with conditions including ARDS, aspiration, respiratory distress, RSV, and other pulmonary conditions
- Weekend coverage is required
