Position Overview
Travel Nurse opportunity for a Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) Registered Nurse on an adult Med-Surg unit. Provide comprehensive patient care using the nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Educate patients, coordinate with the interdisciplinary team, and guide ancillary staff while maintaining professional nursing standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients and identify nursing care needs
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients
• Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and care plans
• Coordinate care with the healthcare team
• Direct and support ancillary personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation and professional standards

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Iowa RN license
• Current BLS (American Heart Association)
• Current ACLS (American Heart Association)
• Med-Surg experience preferred; nurses with less than 1 year of experience may be considered

• No on-call
• 1099 arrangements not accepted
• Full credentialing (health requirements, background checks, education modules) must be cleared before start date
