The Professional RN Team Lead is responsible for time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization. Direct patient care may include: assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting patient’s condition. Professional RN Team Lead collaborates with the care team, participates in interdisciplinary care, and advocates for patients. They will need to be able to drop down to an LPN Med Cart position as needed and staffing permits. 

1. Professional RN Team Lead demonstrates: time management, critical thinking, delegation, and prioritization.
2. Assessment, monitoring, recording, and reporting changes in patient’s condition.
3. Advocates for patient.
4. Practices ethically and professionally within their scope, Promotes EBP (evidence-based practice) and best practices related to patient care.
5. Maintains clinical competence specific to their care area including organization required education within stated timeframe.
6. Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team.
7. Communicates effectively, Documents appropriately and thoroughly in EMR.
8. Participates in unit councils and staff meetings.

May require lifting (up to 50 lbs.), may require sitting or standing for long periods. Must be able to physically operate the equipment required for the job.

Every other weekend a must and every other holiday.  Floating to other units as staffing permits.


May need to drop down to LPN if staffing needs.  Traveler is expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday.  Floating to other units as staffing permits.

This is a 3-unit, 120 bed facility.  Each unit has 40 residents max. Each unit has an RN manager.

This position is a 40 hr/5 evening per week position.  The hours are 1500 to 2330.

Staffing ratios for this shift are 1 RN - 2 LPN – 4-5 CNA for 40 residents. 

Typical orientation period will be 1 day on the assigned unit.

Scrubs of any color may be worn by the employee.
