- Hiring Process: Candidate Interview- Interview with MedSol Clinical Team- No Unit Manager involvement - Radius: 60 MILES, DL must be submitted - Week of orientation: Please ensure clinicians are in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote St Catherine - Garden Unit "ICU (Please specify if specialty ICU, i.e., MICU, SICU, TICU, CVICU, etc.)" # Beds 10 - General ICU Nurse:Patient Ratios 1:2 Required Certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?) BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, CRRT Common diagnoses/Types of patients Abd Pain, CP, Fever, Cough, Dyspnea, Headache, Injury, Extremity Pain Experience or 'Must have' skills Understanding of working in rural and using telehealth for critical care/pulm. Will have onsite hospitalist. Are RNs required to titrate drips? Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Vasopressors, Inotropes, Sedatives, Analgesics, Metabolic, Specilized Charge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment? Yes Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes, depending on volumes Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Yes RT in ICU 24/7 Yes RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc) Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors? No. RNs should be able to read strip and escalate Shifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling? Block scheduling?) Self scheduling and Block Weekend Requirements Yes - Full and part-time employees are expected to self-schedule a minimum of six weekend shifts per six-week schedule, aligning with department needs, unit staffing plans, and ensuring equitable distribution among all staff Holiday Requirements Yes Is there a call or standby requirement? Determined by NM Floating Requirements Determined by NM; if an extreme need could float within zone 4 Scrub Color/Dress Code Navy Blue Unit/Department specific orientation Date & location assigned during week of orientation
