Description

ICU RN – Travel Assignment
Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) RN
Shift: Night Shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM); 3x12-hour option available
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
Charting System: Epic
Floating: Required within specialty and acuity
Flu Vaccine: Required; no exemptions
Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics

Required Certifications and License

Active Maryland or Compact RN license at the time of submission.
BLS (AHA).
ACLS (AHA).
NIHSS.

Patient Diagnoses

Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Stroke.
Renal failure requiring CRRT.
Myocardial infarction requiring IABP.
Respiratory failure and pneumonia.
Rotoprone therapy.
Post-cardiac arrest care.
Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA).
Surgical ICU patients.

Unit Details

Daily Census: 12 patients.
Number of Rooms: 14.
Day Shift Patient Ratio: 1:3.
Interdisciplinary Support: IV team, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response team, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary.
Equipment: Ceiling lifts and emergency carts, including central line, critical airway, chest tube, temporary pacer, bronchoscopy, chemotherapy, CRRT, and malignant hyperthermia carts.
