Job Order: Respiratory Therapist (RRT / CRT)

• Start Date: 11/30/2026
• Duration: 13 Weeks
• Cancellation Policy: Up to 2 shifts per 13-week assignment

Shift & Scheduling Details:

• Shift: Days (12-Hour Shifts: 05:30 – 18:00)
• Staffing Model: 4–5 Therapists on Day Shift; 3–4 on Night Shift (Never sole RT in-house)
• Block Scheduling: Attempted/accommodated where possible
• Self-Scheduling: Allowed
• Weekends: Every other weekend required
• Holidays: No mandatory holiday requirement (optional if staffing permits)
• On-Call: None

Facility Overview:

• Care Setting: Acute Care Hospital
• Trauma Level: Level II Trauma Center
• EMR: Epic
• Orientation: 2 days (shifts) department-specific
• Dress Code: Royal Blue scrubs (facility provides shirt with CRMC logo)

Clinical Scope & Patient Population:

• Coverage Areas: Inpatient acute floors, ER, and ICU (15 beds). Travelers are not assigned to Outpatient or Sleep Lab.
• Patient Demographics: Adults, Pediatrics, and Neonates.
  • ICU: 1:1 to 1:6 ventilator ratios (standard floor loads start at ~13 patients and taper down).
  • Pediatrics: High Flow Nasal Cannula (Optiflow).
  • Nursery/Neonatal: High-acuity neonates are stabilized/vented and transferred; stable neonates maintained on CPAP. Charge RT attends high-risk deliveries.
• Core Duties:
  • Draw ABGs using EPOC analyzer (competency completed on-site).
  • Perform routine EKGs as needed (No arterial line placement).
  • Assist physicians with intubations and bronchoscopies (competency with bronch adapters required).
  • Support internal/transport ventilator setups.
• Equipment in Use:
  • Ventilators: Puritan Bennett 980; Dräger (Nursery); Parapac (Transport)
  • NIV / CPAP / BiPAP: Philips Respironics V60, EV300, V30, and DreamStation
  • High-Flow: Optiflow

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of acute care respiratory therapy experience
• Credential: RRT or CRT via NBRC
• State Licensure: Active Wyoming Respiratory Care Practitioner License in hand at submission
• Certifications Required:
  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • PALS preferred/bonus
• Local Radius Rule: Permanent taxable address must be at least 25 miles from the facility
• Compliance Deadline: All onboarding documentation due the Wednesday at 12:00 PM MST prior to start week
