Radiation Therapist – Cancer Care Institute

🕐 Shift: Day shift, 10-hour shifts 📅 Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 📆 Contract: 13 weeks ⏰ Guaranteed Hours: 30 hours/week 💻 EMR: Mosaiq required; Epic preferred 🏥 Facility: Monument Health – Cancer Care Institute 📍 Location: Rapid City, South Dakota 👥 Patient Population: 98–99% outpatient; all cancer types, including lung, breast, brain, head/neck, GYN, metastatic disease, and lymphomas 📞 Call: No call required 🎉 Weekends/Holidays: No weekend rotation or holiday requirements

Requirements

• Experience: 3–5 years in Radiation Oncology; 5 years preferred
• Certifications: BLS and ARRT (Radiation Therapy)
• Required Equipment: Varian TrueBeam
• Required Skills: SRS, SBRT, and VMAT
• Required System Experience: Varian TrueBeam with Mosaiq
• Preferred Skills: Accuray Radixact, CT Simulation, and Siemens CT Simulator GO.PRO
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Radius: Must live at least 100 miles from any Monument Health facility
• State License: South Dakota license is not required

• RTO: December 26 – January 6
• Scrubs: Steel grey
• Parking: Free parking available
• Floating: May assist with department support and patient transport alongside another therapist; never alone
• Orientation: Two days of online Monument Health orientation and first-day department orientation with the supervisor
• Time Off: Up to 7 days may be approved without manager approval. The contract must be extended to complete the full 13 weeks.
• Interview: Clinical interview through SimpliFi; supervisor may be available to answer candidate questions.
