Location: Waco, Texas
Facility: Surgery Center
Contract Dates: October 26 – November 23, 2026
Duration: 4 Weeks
Looking for your next nursing assignment? Join a surgery center in Waco, TX, as an OR / Circulating Registered Nurse! This short-term contract offers weekday day shifts, competitive taxable pay, and no scheduled call or weekend shifts.
Assignment Details
- Position: OR / Circulating RN
- Shift: 6:15 AM – 2:15 PM
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 20 hours per week
- Scrubs: Provided by facility
- Patient Population: Adults and pediatric patients
- Call: No call
- Weekends: None scheduled
Some shifts may require staying late, potentially until 5:00 PM.
Pay Package: $45.00 - $52.00/hr Depending on experience length and type.
Example: $2,080 Weekly Gross Taxable Pay
- Taxable Hourly Rate: $52.00/hour
- Weekly Taxable Pay: $2,080 for 40 hours
- Housing Stipend: $0
- Meals & Incidentals (M&I) Stipend: $0
- Total Contract Earnings: $8,320 for 4 weeks
Weekly pay assumes completion of all 40 scheduled hours. The schedule assurance is 20 hours per week.
Overtime & On-Call Pay
- Overtime: 1.5x the taxable hourly rate for hours worked over 40 per week ($78.00/hour).
- On-Call Rate: $7.00/hour.
- Call-Back Pay: 1.5x the taxable hourly rate when called back to work while on call ($78.00/hour).
Surgical Specialties
Experience in one or more of the following areas is relevant:
- Urology
- Podiatry
- Plastic Surgery
- Orthopedics: General, Joints, Arthroscopy, and Sports Medicine
- Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB/GYN)
- General Surgery
- Ophthalmology
- ENT / Otolaryngology
- Dentistry
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Active Texas RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Valid driver's license
- OR / Circulating RN skills assessment
- Tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Background check completed prior to interview
