CT Technologist – Day Shift Contract
 

Location: IU Health West Hospital – Avon, IN
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday | 7:00 AM–5:30 PM
Hours: 1.0 FTE | 40 hours per week
Start Date: ASAP

IU Health West Hospital is seeking a CT Technologist for a day shift contract assignment. This position performs diagnostic CT imaging while maintaining patient safety, image quality, and effective communication with the care team.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT scanners and prepare, screen, and position patients for imaging.
• Obtain IV access and administer contrast as required.
• Recognize and respond to adverse contrast reactions.
• Select appropriate scan protocols and adjust parameters to produce diagnostic-quality images.
• Collaborate with radiologists and referring physicians.
• Follow radiation safety practices and perform routine equipment quality checks.
• Document patient and procedure information in the electronic medical record.
• Assist with medical alerts and minimally invasive procedures as needed.

Qualifications

• Active ARRT credential; required registry designation to be confirmed.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Relevant CT experience; the client lists a 0–3-year experience range.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and adapt positioning to accommodate patient needs.
• Knowledge of CT protocols, contrast administration, and radiation safety.
