Location: Tahlequah, OK 74464
Contract Duration: October 26, 2026 – January 30, 2027
Employment Type: Contract
Schedule: 3 days per week | 12-hour shifts

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified and compassionate Paramedic to provide emergency medical care, patient assessment, stabilization, and life-saving interventions. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
 

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' medical conditions and identify immediate healthcare needs.
• Provide emergency medical treatment, stabilization, and appropriate life-saving interventions.
• Monitor vital signs and evaluate patients' responses to treatment.
• Perform CPR and other emergency procedures within the scope of certification and practice.
• Assist with patient transportation and transfers when required.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient care documentation.
• Ensure emergency equipment and medical supplies are properly maintained and ready for use.
• Follow established clinical protocols, infection prevention practices, and patient safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members during emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Current Paramedic certification and applicable state licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS certification, if required by the facility.
• Previous experience in emergency medical services or acute patient care preferred.
• Strong patient assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency response skills.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
