Travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Skilled Nursing Facility

We are seeking a Travel Physical Therapist Assistant for a 14-week Skilled Nursing Facility contract in Gallup, New Mexico. This is a critical need with an increased rate and is a strong fit for a PTA who enjoys post-acute rehabilitation and working with adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Carry out treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic exercise, gait training, balance activities, transfer training, and functional mobility interventions.
• Help patients improve strength, endurance, safety, and independence.
• Monitor patient response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and caregivers on mobility strategies and home exercise programs.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and the interdisciplinary rehab team.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation.

Requirements

• New Mexico PTA license required.
• BLS required.
• SNF or post-acute experience preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills preferred.
