Job Description – Respiratory Therapist

Ascension Saint Alexius Hospital

Hoffman Estates, Illinois 60169

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (Nights)

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: 13 weeks 
 

Unit & Facility Details

• Department: 5 West Respiratory Therapy
• Specialty Areas: Level III NICU and PCU (Progressive Care Unit)

• Facility Type: Hospital / Acute Care 

   

Job Responsibilities & Requirements

• Provide respiratory therapy services in the assigned clinical areas.
• Support patients in the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
• Be prepared to float to the following units as needed:
  • Adult ICU
  • Emergency Department (ED)
  • Medical-Surgical / Telemetry
  • General Pediatrics
• Work every other weekend.
• Participate in the holiday rotation.
• Maintain the required 36 hours per week.
