Job Requirements:

• Start Date: 11/16 (hard start date)
• Experience: 2+ years Telemetry; CA experience and Epic required.
• Travelers: No first-time travelers.
• Unit: Heavy Ortho; may float to Med-Surg. Total joint orthopedic experience required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Unit Details: 36 beds, 1:4 ratio, every other weekend, no call, royal blue scrubs.
• Patient Population: Adolescents to geriatrics.

Required Clinical Skills:

• Telemetry/Cardiac: Read strips, interpret/manage dysrhythmias, on-unit and remote monitoring, rapid response teams.
• Cardiovascular: Post-angiogram, post-MI, pre/post-cardiac cath and cardiac surgery.
• IV/Phlebotomy: Blood products, central lines, PICC management, IV starts.
• Medications: Heparin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration).
• Respiratory: Chest tubes (Emerson/Pleuravac), CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen masks, tracheostomy care.

RTO/Contract Requirements:

• All RTO must be submitted upfront; none allowed during the first 2 weeks.
• RTO cannot be changed after submission except to cancel requested dates. Confirm all dates for the full 13-week contract before submission.
