Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Neuro Stepdown
Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare | Memphis, Tennessee
Assignment: 13 Weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Pay: $55.00/hrs. on w2
Shift: Days | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week; 36–48 hours may be required based on staffing needs.
Position Overview:
Join the nursing team at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare as a Travel RN in the Neuro Stepdown / Med-Surg Overflow unit. Provide quality care to adult and geriatric patients with complex neurological conditions in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and care for patients experiencing strokes, seizures, and altered mental status.
- Provide post-craniotomy care and assist with neurological assessments.
- Monitor patients receiving IV drips and those requiring lumbar drains or continuous EEG.
- Administer medications, document patient care, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Float to appropriate units as needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience.
- Previous travel nursing experience required.
- Level I Trauma Center and large-hospital experience required.
- Active Tennessee RN license or eligible compact RN license.
- Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS.
- Preferred: ACLS, Epic charting, telemetry, ICP experience, and previous charge nurse experience.
Additional Details:
- Rotating weekend coverage and floating are required.
- Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
- All requested time off must be disclosed at submission.
- Flu vaccination is required; COVID-19 vaccination is not required under the current facility guideline.
