We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join the respiratory care team at Ochsner Health System. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, including those requiring critical care and emergency respiratory support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy.
• Manage ventilators and assist with airway management.
• Perform and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) tests.
• Administer respiratory medications and nebulizer treatments.
• Provide care for patients with tracheostomies and other respiratory conditions.
• Assist with intubation, extubation, and ventilator weaning.
• Monitor patients and respond to respiratory emergencies.

Requirements:

• Experienced Respiratory Therapist; new graduates are not accepted.
• CRT or RRT certification required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Active state license required.
• Epic experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience is not required.
• Must be available to work weekends and two of the designated holiday periods as needed.
