Description
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join the respiratory care team at BJC HealthCare. The ideal candidate will provide respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients, including those requiring critical care and ICU support.
Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory treatments and oxygen therapy.
- Manage ventilators and assist with breathing support.
- Monitor patients and interpret arterial blood gas (ABG) results.
- Administer respiratory medications and nebulizer treatments.
- Assist with intubation, extubation, and tracheostomy care.
- Assist with bronchoscopy and percutaneous tracheostomy procedures.
- Provide BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula therapy.
- Maintain accurate patient records using Epic.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- ICU experience required.
- Epic experience required.
- Must be willing to work rotating weekends and holidays.
- Strong attendance and teamwork skills are essential.
