Job Title: Registered Nurse – Inpatient Behavioral Health / Detox

Facility Type/Setting: Inpatient Behavioral Health / Detox

Shift & Schedule: Night shift, 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Weekly Hours: 36 hours

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience.
• Inpatient behavioral health experience required.
• North Carolina nursing license required; pending license accepted.
• Travel experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• CPI certification required.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Charge experience preferred.
• Crisis intervention levels 1–3 required.
• Must include requested time off (RTO) in submission.
• HSS Cover Sheet required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to adult patients receiving inpatient behavioral health and detox services.
• Assess and monitor patients experiencing mental health disorders and substance use disorders.
• Perform crisis intervention and support behavioral stabilization.
• Monitor patient status and respond to changes in behavioral and clinical condition.
• Administer medications and provide nursing interventions according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Maintain patient safety and follow behavioral health precautions.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including social services, pharmacy, respiratory services, and other clinical support departments.
