Position Overview
- Job title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Job category: Clinical / Allied Health Travel
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
- Shift: 5 × 8-hour shifts
- Workdays: Monday–Friday
- Start time: Between 6:00 AM and 7:30 AM (SCT, as listed)
- Contract type: Travel
- Location: Arizona (Arizona certification required)
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare, handle, and administer radioactive isotopes and radiopharmaceuticals.
- Operate nuclear imaging equipment to obtain diagnostic-quality images.
- Perform nuclear medicine procedures for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.
- Maintain radiation safety standards and required Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA) records.
- Assess patients according to age-specific needs and developmental stages.
- Monitor ECG readings and recognize abnormal rhythms or patterns.
- Coordinate patient flow and collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications and Certifications
- Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine program.
- NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
- Arizona CNMT certification before the start date.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire, valid for at least 90 days from the start date.
- Maintain BLS competency.
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- One year of nuclear radiology experience, including clinical experience.
- NCT and/or PET experience.
