seeking an experienced Travel MRI Technologist to perform high-quality diagnostic MRI examinations in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will be skilled in MRI safety, patient positioning, imaging protocols, contrast administration, and image processing while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations of the brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, chest, breast, and musculoskeletal system.
• Review physician orders and select appropriate MRI protocols and imaging sequences.
• Screen patients for MRI contraindications and ensure compliance with MRI safety standards.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and address patient concerns.
• Administer contrast media and start peripheral IVs as required.
• Operate GE MRI equipment and use PACS to archive, retrieve, and transmit diagnostic images.
• Complete accurate documentation using Epic and follow infection control procedures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of MRI Technologist experience.
• Previous travel experience required.
• Certifications: BLS and ARMRIT or ARRT(MR), subject to facility credential verification.
• California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) credential and IV certification as required by the facility.
• Epic charting experience required.
• Proficiency with GE MRI equipment, PACS, contrast administration, and MRI safety procedures.
• Graduate of an accredited MRI or radiologic technology program, or equivalent education/experience accepted by the facility.

Preferred: ARRT(R) certification and previous acute-care hospital experience.
