Travel Surgical Technologist (OR)

Position Details

• Specialty: Operating Room (OR) Surgical Technologist
• Shift: Day shift, 4 × 10-hour shifts
• Schedule: Between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Openings: 2–3 positions (confirm with recruiter)
• Weekends: As required by the facility

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based Surgical Technologist experience.
• Required: BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Preferred: CRCST credential.
• Level I trauma experience and multiple years of experience are preferred.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced OR environment and follow strict sterile technique and patient safety protocols.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Prepare and set up surgical cases across multiple specialties.
• Maintain a sterile field and perform instrument, sponge, and sharp counts.
• Assist surgeons and circulating RNs during procedures.
• Handle surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Support new surgical technicians and students as needed.

• Physical Requirements: Prolonged standing/walking, lifting and pushing equipment, and working with contaminated instruments.
