Description

Provide psychiatric and nursing care to incarcerated individuals in a correctional healthcare setting.
Monitor patients’ mental, emotional, and physical health and identify changes requiring clinical attention.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with authorized orders and scope-of-practice requirements.
Recognize and report behavioral health concerns, psychiatric emergencies, and potential patient safety risks.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including patient observations, interventions, and treatment responses.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and custody staff to promote patient safety and continuity of care.
Follow established treatment plans, healthcare protocols, confidentiality requirements, and applicable CDCR policies.
Demonstrate professionalism, sound clinical judgment, effective communication, and a commitment to quality patient care.

Possess a current, valid California Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) license in good standing. Hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
