Position Details

• Position: Ultrasonographer / Vascular Sonographer

• Contract Duration: 91 weeks listed — confirm with the account manager, as this is unusually long for a travel assignment

Schedule & Call Requirements

The position follows a two-week rotating schedule.

Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 4:00 PM–12:30 AM; Saturday and Sunday: 10:00 AM–10:30 PM

Week 2

Sunday: 10:00 AM–10:30 PM; Wednesday and Thursday: 4:00 PM–12:30 AM

On-call rotation:

• Alternates weekends with the other sonographer.
• Friday: 12:00 AM–10:00 AM
• Saturday: 10:30 PM–10:00 AM
• Sunday: 10:30 PM–7:00 AM

License & Certifications

• ARDMS – Abdomen (AB) or Gynecology (GYN)
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist): Required for vascular coverage.
• BLS: Required.
• RDCS or RCS: Preferred.
• Accredited ultrasound training program: 1–2 years.

4. Required Experience & Technical Skills

Experience requirements:

• 2 years of ultrasound experience.
• Strong GE equipment experience.
• Epic charting experience is required in the compliance section.
• Community hospital experience is preferred.

Ultrasound procedures and skills listed:

• Abdomen, liver, gallbladder, biliary tract, pancreas, spleen
• Abdominal aorta and aortic imaging
• Renal/bladder studies
• Carotid and Doppler studies
• Arterial mapping
• Upper and lower extremity arterial and venous studies
• Duplex and color-flow imaging
• Transvaginal and pelvic imaging
• First-trimester studies
• Pediatric abdomen/pelvis
• Emergency department and intraoperative ultrasound

Patient Population & Facility Details

• Patient age groups: Adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Patient ratios listed: Days 4, nights 2, weekends 1 — clarify what these numbers represent for an imaging department.
• Support services: Interpretation services, rapid response teams, and transportation
• Floating: Travelers are first to float; confirm the destinations and scope.

6. Radius & Time-Off Rules

Radius restriction:

• Candidate's permanent address must be more than 100 miles from OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, 111 S Grant Ave, Columbus, OH 43215.
• The radius is measured from OhioHealth Grant Medical Center, not Dublin Methodist Hospital.

Requested time off (RTO):

• Maximum 10 days per contract.
• No RTO during the initial weeks of the assignment.
• RTO, available start date, and schedule requests must be included at submission.

7. Compliance & Facility Policies

• Candidate must be pre-closed before submission.
• SSN and DOB must be on file at submission.
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
• EKG/dysrhythmia exam must be completed within 72 hours of signing.
• Modules are non-billable, approximately 12 hours, and completed before starting.
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required.
