Assignment Highlights

• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
• Shift Hours: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required
• Patient Ratio: 1:5 to 1:7 for Med-Surg
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Local Candidates: Not accepted; candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and recognize and manage dysrhythmias.
• Care for patients with congestive heart failure (CHF), acute myocardial infarction (MI), arrhythmias, and pacemakers.
• Provide post-device and post-surgical care.
• Administer blood products and provide IV therapy and peripheral line management.
• Perform wound care and manage wound vacs.
• Provide oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support as needed.
• Follow isolation precautions and use appropriate PPE.
• Respond to emergencies and collaborate with rapid response and code teams.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in MS/Tele.
• Active New York RN license in hand at the time of submission — no exceptions.
• BLS certification.
• NIHSS certification; a valid NIHSS must be included with the submission.
• ACLS certification.
• Epic experience required.
• Ability to manage a Med-Surg patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7.
• Willingness to float as required.

Unit Details

• Cardiac Unit: 26 beds, primarily caring for patients with CHF, acute MI, arrhythmias, and post-pacemaker/device care.
• Surgical Unit: 51 beds, caring for general surgery patients, including colorectal procedures, ostomies, plastic and cosmetic procedures, breast procedures, and reconstruction surgeries.
• Scrub Color: Any combination of navy and white.

Important Contract Requirements

• Every other weekend required.
• Floating is mandatory.
• Candidates must live more than 75 miles from the facility.
