Registered Nurse - Medical / Surgical Float (Med/Surg RN) – Night Shift

• Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 19:00 – 07:30 | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week

  • Schedule Structure: 12-hour night shifts. Block scheduling and 48-hour guarantees are strictly prohibited and unavailable.
  • Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend required. Mandatory holiday coverage: Must work TWO full holiday blocks if scheduled/needed (Thanksgiving block, Christmas block, or New Year's block).
  • On-Call / Standby: No On-Call required.
  • Floating Protocol & Unit Details: Designated Med/Surg Float position across hospital units including Emergency Department (ED) and Critical Care Unit (CCU). EMR: Meditech Expanse highly preferred. Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color. Non-billable orientation: 8 hours. Candidate must have their own reliable personal vehicle for transportation.

• Clinical Experience Baseline [HARDSTOP]:
  • Minimum 2 years of current Medical/Surgical nursing experience strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Minimum 2 years of Critical Care Unit (CCU) / Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Telemetry experience strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Basic Dysrhythmia Course completion strictly required [HARDSTOP].
  • Mandatory Floating: Must be fully willing and documented to float across Med/Surg, ED, and CCU units [HARDSTOP].
• State Licensure & Agency Documentation [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
  • Active Massachusetts RN License strictly required in-hand at submittal [HARDSTOP].
  • Submitting agency MUST include their Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool License) up front with profile upload [HARDSTOP].
• Certifications [IN-HAND AT SUBMISSION - HARDSTOP]:
  • Active AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) strictly required IN-HAND at upload (no pending certs) [HARDSTOP].
  • Active AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) strictly required IN-HAND at upload [HARDSTOP].
  • Active NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale) certification strictly required IN-HAND at upload [HARDSTOP].
  • Active NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) strictly required IN-HAND at upload [HARDSTOP].

  • Profile must contain candidate's permanent physical address (verifying >50 miles radius) [HARDSTOP].
