Travel Nurse RN - Med Surg / Telemetry

To be considered for this Med-Surg/Telemetry RN travel position, candidates need:

Experience and licensure:

• At least 2 years of med-surg experience and telemetry skills.
• Epic experience is mandatory.
• An active license is required to submit; confirm the applicable state license.
• BSN is not required.
• First-time traveler eligibility is not specified.

Required certifications:

• BLS and NIHSS.

Required clinical skills:

• Care of medical-surgical overflow and non-acute stroke patients.
• Ability to validate telemetry strips; centralized telemetry monitoring is available.
• Titration of insulin and pain medication drips.
• Care of patients using BiPAP and high-flow oxygen.
• Comfort with 1:4–5 patient assignments.

Schedule and flexibility:

• 12-hour nights, 7 p.m.–7:30 a.m., with 36 guaranteed hours weekly.
• Weekends based on unit needs.
• One winter and one summer holiday required; clarify which apply to the contract.
• Floating required.
• No call, but standby may be required.
• No requested time off during the first assignment week. Other time off and the start date require unit manager approval.

Additional details:

• Clinical auto offers are based on clinical recommendation.
• The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments. Confirm how cancellations affect guaranteed hours.
• Professional, clean scrubs; no specific color required.
