Job Description

Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital (NVRH), a 25-bed critical access hospital located in Vermont’s beautiful Northeast Kingdom, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for its General Medical-Surgical unit on the night shift.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to a primarily adult patient population, with occasional pediatric patients. Responsibilities include caring for medical-surgical, outpatient, observation, and swing-bed patients; assessing patient conditions; developing and implementing individualized care plans; administering medications and treatments; monitoring patient progress; and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective patient care.

The ideal candidate will have strong acute-care nursing experience, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to adapt to the varied needs of a general Med/Surg unit.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of acute-care nursing experience.
• Current Vermont RN license or eligible multistate RN license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Current ACLS certification.
• Ability to work night shifts and start ASAP.
• Comfortable caring for primarily adult patients, with occasional pediatric assignments.
• Compliance with the facility’s mandatory flu vaccination policy; no exceptions.
• All required credentials must be uploaded at least 5 business days before the start date.

Preferred: Previous experience with Meditech EMR.
