🔥 40-HOUR DAY-SHIFT OPERATING ROOM (OR) RN CONTRACT – MILWAUKEE, WI

An immediate travel contract opening (13 to 26 weeks) is available for an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (Lake Michigan shoreline). Operating within advanced surgical suites at an established regional medical center, this position features a 40-hour daytime schedule (4x10-Hour rotating day shifts, 07:00 AM – 17:00 PM or 09:00 AM – 19:00 PM, Monday through Friday, 40 hours guaranteed weekly). 13 TO 26-WEEK CONTRACT FLEXIBILITY! NO SCHEDULED WEEKEND SHIFTS! HIGH-TECH ROBOTICS SUITES! The perioperative team handles a dynamic surgical case mix across general surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, urology, and robotic-assisted procedures. If you are an experienced OR circulator (scrub competency helpful) skilled in robotic instrumentation, aseptic technique, surgical patient advocacy, and multi-specialty circulating looking to earn $2,688/week in Wisconsin, this assignment is built for you!

Weekly Tax-Free Stipend: $1,568.00
Hourly W2 Rate: $28.00/hr (40 regular hours)
Overtime Rate: $42.00/hr

📅 SHIFT & POSITION DETAILS

Schedule: Day shifts, 4x10-Hours (Rotating start times: 07:00 AM – 17:00 PM or 09:00 AM – 19:00 PM, Monday – Friday).
Guaranteed Hours: 40 regular hours guaranteed weekly.
Assignment Duration: 13 to 26 Weeks (flexible contract length accepted).
Weekend Shifts: No routinely scheduled weekend shifts.
On-Call Requirements: Departmental on-call rotation required based on surgical volume (includes rotating weekday call, rotating weekend call, and holiday call hours).
Department Setting: Inpatient Surgical Services / Main Operating Room (Unit: Operating Room 001).
Floating Flexibility: Rare floating within clinical skillset onsite or to affiliated regional sites within a 40-mile radius if operationally necessary.
Clinical Scope & Specialty Case Mix:
- Multi-specialty robotic-assisted surgery (da Vinci surgical platforms).
- General surgery (laparoscopic cholecystectomies, appendectomies, hernia repairs, colon resections).
- Orthopedic, gynecologic, urologic, and ENT operative procedures.
Core Responsibilities: Circulating (scrub experience is a plus), verifying surgical consent and site marking, patient positioning and skin prep, electrosurgical safety management, time-out protocols, specimen collection and handling, counts, and post-anesthesia handoffs.
EMR System: Epic (Epic experience is strictly required).

Experience: Minimum 3 years of dedicated acute care Operating Room (OR) clinical nursing experience, with verified hands-on robotic surgery experience. Must have at least 1 year of prior travel nursing experience. (Scrub nursing experience is a strong plus).
Licensure: Active Wisconsin RN License or Compact/NLC Multistate License strictly in hand at submittal.
Certifications Required at Submittal (Must be attached):
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
Technical Requirement: Documented clinical charting proficiency with Epic EMR is required.
