L&D – Surgical Technician – Days

• 8-week contract
• Shift: Days
• 40 hours (5 x 8's)
• Weekends and Holidays
  • Must be able to work every other weekend
• Patient ratios (if known): within CA guidelines
• Is RTO Accepted? What is the Max: None
• On Call Requirement? NO
• Certs: Active Surgical Technician certification, AHA BLS, MAB or CPI
  • Must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

Experience:

• One (1) year of recent experience in a Level 1 Trauma Institution in a metropolitan city with a diverse population in an operating room setting and have successfully completed formal training in the perioperative environment.
• Experience with the preparation of instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgical procedures
• Must be vigil for maintenance of the sterile field and set up delivery tables
• Local providers accepted
• COVID Vaccine Requirement: Covid vaccination + booster if eligible is a must

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and support the daily activities including triage, complicated labor and delivery emergencies, urgent and scheduled C-sections, post-op recovery, breastfeeding support and neonatal care, as well as assisting during a wide range of surgical procedures, demonstrating a thorough understanding of surgical instruments, sterile techniques, and operating room procedures.
