• Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 4×10-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: Listed as 91 weeks — confirm the actual assignment duration

• Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

• Orientation Location: Clinician must be in the state during orientation week, even if the first day’s modules are remote.

Work Setting & Responsibilities

This is a dual-role position supporting both the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) and hospital-wide psychiatric assessments.

Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit:

• Manage an inpatient caseload
• Conduct intake and psychiatric assessments
• Provide individual therapy, group sessions, and patient check-ins
• Complete safety planning and discharge visits
• Communicate with families and collateral contacts
• Support patients through de-escalation and crisis situations

Hospital-Wide Psychiatric Assessments:

• Perform assessments in the Emergency Department and medical floors
• Evaluate patients to help determine the appropriate level of care
• Complete approximately 3–4 consultations per day on medical floors and in the ED

Expected Caseload:

• Up to 10 patients per day on the inpatient unit
• Approximately 3–4 consultations per day across medical floors and the ED

Required Qualifications

• Active Utah license — required to submit
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Relevant behavioral health and psychiatric assessment experience
• Ability to conduct in-person assessments, support discharge planning, and provide crisis intervention

Additional notes:

• BSN is not required.
• InterQual/Milliman experience is not required.
• Driver’s license must be submitted.
• Radius rule: Candidate must meet the 60-mile requirement; confirm eligibility using the permanent address.

5. Can the candidate be physically present in the state during orientation week?
6. Is the candidate within the applicable 60-mile radius requirement?
7. Confirm the start date, pay package, and actual contract duration.
