Description

Title: Registered Nurse – Endoscopy
Location: Midland, TX 79701
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Days | 5x8 hours | 06:30 AM – 03:00 PM

Call: 6–8 days per month, primarily weekends

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of strong Endoscopy RN experience
Must have experience scrubbing and circulating Endoscopy cases
Must have experience assisting with Sclerotherapy, TEE, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, and esophageal ballooning
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
Cerner experience preferred
Adult and geriatric patient experience

Description:

Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for adult and geriatric patients in a 4-room Endoscopy unit.
Scrub and circulate Endoscopy procedures including EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, Bronchoscopy, Esophageal Varices/Banding, and Sclerotherapy.
Administer and monitor conscious sedation/MAC, manage airways, monitor dysrhythmias, and recover patients following procedures.
Perform IV insertion, medication administration, specimen handling/labeling, and post-procedure assessments.
Utilize Endoscopy equipment including ERBE, electrosurgical units, balloon dilators, forceps, polyp snares, lithotripters, and foreign-body equipment.
