Emergency Department RN

Overview

• Contract role in St Johnsbury, Vermont.
• Flex shifts: three 12-hour shifts per week.
• 36 hours per week.

Facility setting

• 24/7 Emergency Department in a busy rural ED.
• Board-certified physician-staffed.
• More than 15,000 patient visits annually.
• The department was renovated in 2026.

Required qualifications

• Valid RN license in Vermont.
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing.
• ED - Emergency Department (3 years of experience).
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year.
• BLS.
• PALS.
• ACLS.
• Reliable personal transportation is required.
• Flu vaccination is required.
• Required credentialing documentation must be submitted no later than five business days before the scheduled start date.

Preferred

• TNCC.
• Familiarity with Meditech.
• Experience caring for a broad range of patient populations and emergency conditions.

Additional notes

• Travelers will start on Wednesdays.
• During the week of orientation, travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to a midweek start.
• Local housing resources are available, but housing is at additional cost.
