Job Summary
Windsor Healthcare Recruitment Group is seeking an experienced CT Technologist for a mobile imaging assignment. This position offers a four-day workweek with 10-hour shifts and an anticipated daily patient volume of 12–15 patients.
The ideal candidate will have strong CT imaging skills, the ability to work independently in a mobile imaging environment, and a commitment to patient safety and high-quality diagnostic imaging.
Schedule and Responsibilities
- Work four 10-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday.
- Perform approximately 12–15 CT examinations per day.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and ensure proper positioning.
- Operate CT equipment and produce diagnostic-quality images.
- Follow established imaging protocols and maintain accurate documentation.
- Apply radiation safety practices and ALARA principles (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient mobile imaging environment.
Radiation Safety Considerations
This assignment has been described as involving potentially higher radiation exposure than some technologists may be accustomed to. Candidates should be comfortable working in a mobile CT environment and following all applicable radiation protection procedures.
Before accepting the assignment, candidates should confirm the actual exposure conditions, available shielding, personal dosimetry requirements, and applicable safety protocols with the employer's Radiation Safety Officer.
Radiation exposure levels and working conditions should be verified before the position is represented as having unusually high exposure.
Qualifications
- Current credentials and licensure required for the assignment.
- Previous CT imaging experience.
- Strong knowledge of CT protocols, patient positioning, and image quality.
- Demonstrated understanding of radiation protection and patient safety.
- Ability to work independently and manage a consistent daily patient workload.
