Medical Technologist

Overview

Specialty: Laboratory
Location: Jacksonville, Illinois
Employment type: Travel/Contract
Contract length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening, 5x8 hours, 14:30–23:00
Schedule: Orientation is on day shift 06:00–14:30 for 1.5 weeks, then transitions to evening shift; every other weekend required, with possible overnight shifts as needed
Unit/setting: Hospital clinical laboratory
Float scope: Floats to all areas of the lab throughout the week
First-timers accepted: Yes
Locals accepted: Yes, no radius
On-call: Not required
Pending license accepted: No
Parking: Parking permit required, no cost

Medical Lab Technician (2 years of experience)
Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
ASCP
Experience in a(n) Hospital setting
Experience in the blood bank
ABO/Rh/Antibody Screen & ID
AHG Crossmatch
Antibody Typing: Tube Method
Antigen Typing
Cold Agglutinins
Cord Blood Evaluation
Crossmatch-Immediate Spin/IgG
