Description
Med-Surg / Telemetry / PCU RN
Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Patient ratio: Days 1:5; nights 1:6. Ratios vary with patient acuity.
EMR: Cerner
Weekend rotation: Weekend rotation mentioned in the description, but the unit details say weekend coverage is false. Confirm the actual requirement.
Call: Standby call as needed.
Floating: Required; travelers must be willing to float.
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; Wisconsin or compact license accepted.
- BLS and ACLS through AHA only.
- Minimum 2 years of acute-care RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty submitted.
- At least 2 years of Med-Surg and PCU experience required.
- Previous travel experience required. First-time travelers must have more than 5 years of RN experience.
- Cerner/charting system experience required.
- Solid PCU foundation is essential because the unit cares for Med-Surg, telemetry, and occasional ICU/PCU patients.
