Description
Job Title: RN First Assistant (RNFA)
Facility Type/Setting: Acute Care Hospital, Operating Room, Ambulatory Surgery
Care Level: Level IV Trauma Center
Shift & Schedule: 4×10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM–5:00 PM) or 3×12-hour day shifts (6:30 AM–7:00 PM)
Weekly Hours: 40 hours (4×10s) or 36 hours (3×12s)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Call/Weekend/Holiday Requirements: Call required; float required; every other weekend; holiday coverage required
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Previous charge experience required
- California RN license required at submission
- CRNFA certification required
- BLS required
- Acute hospital OR experience required
- Ambulatory Surgery Center experience required
- Trauma experience required
- Epic experience preferred
- Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
- Experience with general, orthopedic, neurological, gynecological, urological, bariatric, laparoscopic, and robotic surgical procedures
- Must be able to float across multiple operating rooms and procedural areas
- One professional reference required at submission
- Flu vaccine required; no exemptions
