RN – Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED)

Facility: Children's Scottish Rite Hospital (CHOA)
Position: ED Registered Nurse
Shift: Night shift, 9:00 PM–6:00 AM
3x12 Hour Night Shift (12 hrs)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
Contract: 13 weeks

Experience Required:

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ED experience.
• Pediatric nursing experience is mandatory.
• General ED experience without pediatric experience may not qualify.

Certifications Required:

• BLS.
• PALS.

Floating Requirements:

- Must be willing to float to other ER units.

Weekend and Holiday Requirements:

• Every other weekend.
• Must work holiday rotation if required.

Scrub Color:

- Any color accepted.

Strict Vaccination Requirement:

No exemptions accepted

• Flu vaccination is mandatory.
• Medical and religious exemptions are NOT accepted.
• Do not submit candidates who cannot receive the flu vaccine.

Drug Screening:

• Facility is nicotine-free.
• Nicotine testing is required along with the drug screen.
