Shift: Night shift, 4x12 hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Experience: Minimum 2 years
Travelers: First-time travelers accepted
 

Required Qualifications

• Active California RN license required at submission
• Minimum 2 years of L&D experience
• Recent experience performing sterile vaginal exams and managing high-risk patients
• Advanced fetal monitoring experience
• Knowledge of the CMQCC Category II algorithm
• EPIC experience is mandatory
• AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced certifications
• References required
• All required certifications must be included with submission

Clinical Skills

• External fetal monitoring
• Recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
• Circulating for C-sections
• Caring for low- and high-risk L&D patients

Unit Details

• 4 triage rooms
• 11 Labor & Delivery rooms
• 2 operating rooms
• NICU and Postpartum units
• OB hospitalists and OB anesthesia available 24/7
• Patient population: Neonates, adolescents, and adults
• Unit bed count listed: 11
• Systems: SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts

Schedule & On-Call

• 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday)
• If working 4 shifts per week: No on-call required
• If working 3 shifts per week: 1 on-call shift every 2 weeks
• Floating required within Perinatal
• Must work most holidays
