CT / X-Ray Technologist – Travel Contract

Position Details

• Position: CT / X-Ray Technologist
• Shift: Evening, 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• Schedule: 8-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Call: To be Discuss at the time of interview
• Weekend Coverage: To be Discuss at the time of interview
• Holiday Coverage: Required if needed
• Facility: Berkshire Health System

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent CT and X-ray experience.
• Active Massachusetts Radiology License.
• Current ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications.
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of current agency/travel experience is required.
• Previous travel experience is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate sound clinical judgment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and general diagnostic X-ray procedures.
• Perform IV insertion and administer contrast injections.
• Apply appropriate technical skills and independent judgment to support accurate diagnostic imaging.
• Operate and troubleshoot CR, DR, CT, and PACS applications.
• Work with PACS, HIS, and RIS systems.
• Follow departmental and hospital policies, infection control procedures, and OSHA standards.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate documentation.
• Complete mandatory education and maintain departmental competencies.
• Assist with additional duties within the scope of practice during low-census periods.

Preferred Qualifications

• Meditech Expanse experience is highly preferred.
• Previous travel experience of at least 6 months.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
