MedSurg/Tele Observation RN

• Location: Show Low, Arizona (White Mountains region)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours guaranteed with no cancellations

Unit and Staffing

• Unit: 10 beds, MedSurg with telemetry capability on all beds
• Urgent need: MedSurg/Tele travel nurses
• Support staff on unit: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs, and PCTs
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:5 days, 1:6 nights, 1-4 peds (also based on acuity)
• Nurse managers: Do not provide patient care but do rounds
• Float scope: All MS units and ICU (taking MS overflow patients)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Arizona
• Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care setting

Work Environment and Logistics

• Dress code: Any color scrubs; scrubs are not provided
• Area: Outdoor activities, with Flagstaff and Phoenix about a couple of hours away
