hift: Night Shift – 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Shift & Schedule

• 4 × 10-hour shifts per week.
• Overnight schedule.
• Every other weekend coverage required.
• Schedule flexibility may be available.
• Staff often work consecutive shifts to get longer stretches of days off.

Requirements

• Must have certification in hand at the time of submission.
• Accepted certifications:
  • ASCP
  • AMT
  • Or equivalent certification from a recognized accrediting body.

Department Responsibilities

Candidates may be assigned to different laboratory areas, including:

• Chemistry
• Hematology
• Urinalysis
• Coagulation
• Front-end Microbiology (plating and rapid testing)
• Specimen receiving and processing

Note: Most travelers are trained in either:

• Hematology + Front-End Microbiology, or
• Chemistry + Front-End Microbiology.

Final department assignment depends on the existing team's skill sets.

Dress Code

• Scrubs required.
• Closed-toe, closed-heel shoes required.
• Crocs or shoes with holes are not allowed.
• Lab coats and other PPE are provided.
