Location: Wheeling, West Virginia Contract Length: 13 weeks Hours per Week: 36 Shift: Day shift options of 8s or 10s (6-2, 7-3, 8-4, or 9-5). Schedule is 3 x 12-hour or 4 x 10-hour shifts per week. Afternoon or midnight shifts may be assigned based on department needs.

Role Overview

• Preop care only, in a preop area referred to as the Surgical Center. This is not a free-standing surgical center.
• Covers all procedures, including same-day and overnight stays.
• 15 suites with 55-70 cases per day.
• Scrubbing is required for RNs.
• Floating to the OR holding area.
• Facility is transitioning to a new EMR on April 1.

Call and Weekend Requirements

• Rotating weekends: 8-hour shift 7-3 on Saturday or Sunday, plus 24-hour on-call on Saturday and Sunday.
• 1-2 second calls per month, each a 24-hour call on one weekend day from 7A-7A.
• No mandatory call or standby requirement.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.

Required Qualifications

• BLS certification
• IV skills
• Surgical care knowledge
• Robotics experience

Submission Requirements

• 50-mile radius rule applies.
• Every submission must include a copy of the candidate's unexpired driver's license.
• Licensing hits must be disclosed at the time of submission.

Work Environment

• Scrub color and dress code are provided by the facility.
• Unit-specific orientation is in the Surgical Center/pre-op area.
