Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience – mandatory.
• Travel experience preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS listed under required certifications.
• Active RN license.
• Scrubbing experience preferred for RNs, but not mandatory.

Types of Cases

• Orthopedics, including total joint replacements.
• General surgery.
• Gynecology.
• Pediatrics.
• Ophthalmology.
• Cardiac surgery is performed at the facility, but travelers will NOT be assigned to cardiac cases.

Schedule & Call Requirements

• 8-hour day shifts.
• Variable start times; manager prepares the schedule.
• One call night per week.
• One weekend of call per month.
• Call response time: 30 minutes.
• Holiday work only in emergencies.
• No floating required.
• Guaranteed 40 hours/week.

Department Details

• 7 operating rooms.
• Charge nurse available, but not 24/7.
• OR technicians available.
• Scrubbing required for the department; RN scrubbing is preferred.
• Unit-specific orientation based on candidate skillset.
• Scrub attire provided.
• Phillips telemetry equipment.

Additional Facility Information

• Surgeons are on call 24/7.
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7.
• No IV team.
• After 10 PM, after-hours pharmacy support is provided through Marian.
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.
