Travel Surgical Technologist (OR CST) – Job Summary

Contract: JD displays 91; likely 9 weeks, confirm with account manager.

1. Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience.
• BLS required.
• Level I Trauma experience required.
• Level I Trauma course and certificate required.
• Previous charge experience required.
• Must have both scrubbing and circulating experience.
• First-time travelers accepted with appropriate experience.
• Valid state license or certification required at submission.

Hard stop

Scrub experience is mandatory.

3. Facility & Department Details

• 32 operating rooms.
• Patient population: Adolescents, infants, adults, and geriatrics.
• Floating required between:
  • Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience
  • Jefferson Methodist Hospital
  • Honickman Center
• Must also float among services within the main OR.
• Trauma Level I experience required.

4. Schedule & Weekend Requirements

• Day shift: 7:00 AM–5:30 PM.
• 4x10-hour schedule.
• Block scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• 13 weekend shifts per contract.
• No call requirement.
• No holiday requirement.
• 40 hours of orientation.

5. Submission Requirements

• RTO must be submitted upfront; no RTO accepted after submission.
• Provide interview availability for a range of 3–5 days.
• Local radius: 50 miles.
• Local rate differential applies.
• Candidate must disclose top choice if actively pursuing multiple offers.
• Valid references and copies of certifications required.
• SSN and DOB required for submission.

6. Compliance Requirements

• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing.
• PA fingerprints required within one week of signing.
• Fingerprint completion receipt must be provided.
• PA Childline and fingerprint results must be within 12 months of start; these cannot pend.
• Background processing may take 2–4 weeks.
• OR candidates are exempt from the listed pass/fail clinical exam.
• Modules are completed during orientation:
  • First 8 hours: Non-billable.
  • Time after the first 8 hours: Billable.
