RN-MedSurg/Tele

• Location: Corbin, Kentucky

• Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week, including weekends. Shifts run 7 PM to 7 AM (12 hours per day, 36 hours per week).

Role Summary

The RN delivers direct patient care on the unit, following evidence-based nursing practice, policies, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:

• Performing and documenting comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessment of responses to treatments
• Developing problem lists, setting care priorities, and coordinating the plan of care with the patient, family, and interdisciplinary team
• Administering therapies and procedures, and recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition
• Educating patients and families, and coordinating discharge planning with Case Management
• Delegating and overseeing the work of team members, and monitoring the accuracy of their care
• Participating in unit quality improvement activities, such as monitoring patient falls, pressure ulcers, CAUTIs, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Med Surg / Telemetry experience (1 year), including experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with wound care
