Description
Respiratory Treatments
- Aerosol and nebulizer treatments.
- CPT, Flutter, and PEP mask therapy to help clear airway secretions.
- Incentive spirometry and MDI treatments.
- Suctioning and extubation procedures.
- Oxygen therapy using approved devices.
- BiPAP/CPAP management, including alarms.
- High-flow nasal cannula and humidifier management.
- Cough Assist and Vest therapy.
Critical Care & Ventilator Management
- Manage mechanical ventilators and ventilator alarms.
- Provide respiratory care to adult, NICU, and critical care patients.
- Perform adult, pediatric, and neonatal BLS when required.
- Participate in external patient transports while managing respiratory care needs.
Diagnostic Procedures & Laboratory Work
- Perform pulmonary function screening.
- Conduct pulse oximetry testing.
- Perform adult and pediatric EKGs.
- Perform arterial punctures and analyze blood gases.
- Complete blood gas laboratory quality-control procedures.
- Perform employee fit testing in coordination with Employee Health.
Licensure & Certifications
