Description
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) - Blood Bank
- Start Date: ASAP
- Shift: 4x10 Variable Days
- Start time 9:30 PM, may flex to 8:00 PM as needed
- Experience Required: 2+ years (Hard Stop)
- First-Time Travelers: Not Accepted
- Required Certification: ASCP-BB
- Preferred Certification: Clinical Immunohematology Scientist (CIS)
Mandatory Requirements (Hard Stops)
- Recent/current Blood Bank experience within the last 2 years
- Experienced Blood Bank traveler
- Epic experience
- Blood Bank software experience (any Blood Bank software)
- Large hospital experience (300+ beds)
- Trauma Level I experience
- Ability to work independently on night shifts
Work Environment
- High-volume Blood Bank
- 30-50 samples per day
- Heavy type & screen and crossmatch workload
- Independent night-shift coverage
Scheduling
- Rotating weekends and holidays
- Weekend requirements may exceed every other weekend
- No call required
- No floating required
- RTO must be submitted with application
- Guaranteed Hours: Facility may cancel one shift every two-week pay period
